Peninsula2.JPG

Our lab studies the dynamics of islands recovering from invasive vertebrate removal. We study this across multiple taxa (e.g. seabirds, invertebrates, flora), ecosystems (terrestrial and marine), and from an ecosystem functioning perspective. See more about this topic here.

We use meta-analysis to synthesize how ecosystems respond to broad-scale disturbances, their potential for recover, and the role that active restoration can play in speeding recovery.  See more about this work here

Nachusa prairie.JPG

Our lab studies the dynamics of restoration and recovery in tallgrass prairie, which is one of the most threatened ecosystems in the world. See more about our research here.
